About

Meet Erik Cook.

The mechanic working on your airplane is the one who answers the phone.

Erik Cook · FAA Certified A&P, IA, CFI · Owner, High Desert Aviation

Erik started High Desert Aviation because Central Oregon needed what every airport needs: an honest mechanic who flies, who lives here, and who'll talk to you like a pilot instead of a billing department.

After years of turning wrenches on Cessnas, Pipers, Cubs and tailwheel airplanes, Erik set up shop on the field at Prineville (S39). The shop runs on three rules: don't sell people work they don't need, don't start work without a clear quote, and don't sit on someone's airplane longer than it should take.

That's it. No fleet contracts, no corporate FBO overhead, no surprises on the invoice. Just the man, the hangar, and your airplane.
